Braun car rentals, based at Phuket airport was established in 1996 as a completely customer centric car rental company set up by the owners to be the type of car rental company that they themselves would wish to hire from, simply put our aim was to be the best car rental company in Phuket.

Our contract is standard international contract in English (and German) we make it as clear as possible with no small print or ambiguity, best practices are always adhered to.

Insurance: Probably one of the biggest causes of concern is insurance. It is often not clear what is and is not included with different/confusing terms covering different sections of the coverage. Then when you get to the pick-up desk you get the hard-sell to upgrade at an outlandish rate.

Alongside this large sums of money can be blocked on customers credit cards to cover the high ‘Excess’s’ charged.
At Braun we have first class insurance which covers our car and anyone else’s vehicle that you hopefully won’t have an accident with (up to a maximum of 10 million Baht). We do not block any advance on your credit card and our excess is one of the lowest in Phuket and probably Thailand at only 5,000 Baht.
There is no hard sell to buy extra insurance as we don’t sell extra insurance.
Braun Car Rental are Fully and Comprehensively Insured with The Tokio Marine Insurance Company for our vehicle and any vehicle or property you may be in collision with. This insurance is not an extra, it is included in our rental price read more
We believe this is best for our customers.

Damage to vehicles: We pride ourselves on our honestly and integrity and if a vehicle is returned damaged do not blow it out of all proportion. As mentioned above our excess is only 5,000 Baht so this is the maximum you would pay but if the damage can be repaired for less we will charge less. We try to be absolutely fair with every customer and just ask the same in return.
Also for customers peace of mind we encourage taking of pictures of the car at the start of the rental so as both parties know of any pre-existing blemishes if there are any.

Fuel policy: Our fuel policy is Full to Full which we believe is the best for our customers, you only pay for what you use.

Cancellation fees: We do not charge any fees for cancellation or amendment and don’t ask for any payment until you have seen and are happy with the car.

Extra Drivers: Your Braun contract includes 1 extra driver free of charge and a small fee (100 Baht per day) if a third driver is required to be added.

Children’s seats and SAT/NAV’s: We try to keep the price of these added extras as reasonable as possible and we charge a maximum of 100 Baht per day for Child seat (50 Baht for Booster seats) and 150 Baht for SAT/NAV, less if for a week or more.
